Dr Clyde Ong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2015. He has also completed GDFM in 2019 and obtained his Family Physician accreditation from MOH in 2021.
After graduation, he has rotated through General Medicine, Emergency Department, General Surgery, and Orthopaedic Surgery in both Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In addition, he has gained some experience in General Psychiatry and Rehabilitative during his rotations at Institute of Mental Health and Thye Hwa Kwan Community Hospital respectively. Upon completing his hospital rotation, he subsequently joined the Polyclinic and was also a resident doctor at a family practice prior to joining My Family Clinic.
Dr Clyde Ong believes that the core of medicine is to practise active listening, understanding patient’s concerns and also the ability to empathise. This stems from his earnest interest to serve others. He is also currently pursuing Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine and is keen to provide advice on sports and management of sports-related injury.
