Physician Wong Linhong is a Ph.D. candidate under the mentorship of renowned physician Professor Wu Wei (Chief of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine). His research focuses on the treatment of cardiovascular diseases using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including hypertension, arrhythmia, chronic heart failure, and post-PCI rehabilitation.
Born into a family with a long tradition of practicing TCM, Physician Wong’s family practiced medicine in Singapore for over 40 years, earning a strong reputation and treating a large number of patients. From a young age, Physician Wong was exposed to countless clinical cases, assisting in the clinic and inheriting ancestral formulas and unique treatment methods. This early immersion in a clinical environment, combined with guidance from many esteemed Chinese medical experts such as the late Professor Wang Zhihong (Dean of Medicine, Changchun University of Chinese Medicine) and Master of Chinese Medicine the late Professor Liu Bailing, has greatly enriched his medical expertise.
Physician Wong completed his full-time five-year undergraduate medical school training program at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. He excelled academically, receiving the First-Class Excellence Award for International Students in medical school, obtaining his license to practice from Ministry of Health Singapore.
During his studies in Beijing, Physician Wong spent four years apprenticing under Professor Xie Ming (former Head of Department of Formula-logy, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine), gaining profound insights into the treatment of complex and difficult diseases across various specialties. With extensive experience in using herbal prescriptions to treat internal medicine conditions, Physician Wong combines classical TCM theories with modern pharmacological research. His treatments for pediatric colds and coughs, skin diseases, sleep disorders, acid reflux due to spleen-stomach imbalances, irritable bowel syndrome, and pain management in various parts of the body are concise and unique. Over the years, his clinical efficacy has earned him high praise and recommendations from numerous patients.
