Dr Soon was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Jurong Community Hospital, Jurong Medical Centre, Member of the National University Health System, and a Visiting Consultant to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital prior to leaving for private practice. She set up the NTFGH Sleep Surgery Service, ENT-OMS joint clinic, and was instrumental in integrating surgical care as part of the Sleep Multidisciplinary Team. She is well known for her minimally invasive snoring, sleep apnea techniques, which are safe and offer quick recovery, and is a regular international and local teaching faculty to fellow surgeons.
Besides clinical duties, Dr Soon was also active in undergraduate teaching and research. She was a regular examiner at the MBBS examinations, and has contributed to ENT textbooks and scientific literature with papers published and abstracts presented at both local and international conferences.
She is a mother of two boys.
