Hernina is a certified Speech and Language Pathologist who specialises in the paediatric population. She was trained in Flinders University, Australia and has been practicing her skills in private practice in Singapore since 2015.
Hernina has experience working with children with special needs between the ages of 2 to 18 years old. She is passionate in working with children with global developmental delay, autism, speech apraxia, speech/language disorders and feeding difficulties. She is trained in PROMPT, Lori Overland Sensory Approach to Feeding and Social Thinking.
Hernina is a family-centred speech pathologist who believes that her role is not only to provide services to the child but also to guide the parents in the therapy journey as well. Hernina works collaboratively with parents on their child’s strengths and weaknesses so they can better understand the value underlying the treatment plan that is implemented. As such, Hernina trusts that a good therapeutic relationship between the child, parents and clinician is the key to progress.
