Dr Clarissa Ho graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2018. During her time as an undergraduate, she actively contributed in the student-led Dental Society as the Business Secretary from 2015-2016 and Vice President in 2017, helping to organise extra-curricular activities for the student body from Asia-Pacific Dental Student Association (APDSA) Congress to the annual MU-NUS games between the University of Malaya (Malaysia) and the National University of Singapore.
Understanding the importance of continued learning and growth, she is armed with experiences serving in various public health institutions. Her primary care journey was established as a dental officer in National Healthgroup Polyclinic (Hougang) serving the community there. Dr Clarissa then practiced advanced general dentistry as part of the Dental Surgery department in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and National Dental Centre where she gained experience managing complex cases including restorative (Periodontics, Endodontics, Prosthodontics), Oral surgery, geriatric, and trauma/ dental emergency cases.
Dr Clarissa takes joy in empowering her patients towards preventive dental care and strives to help those with dental phobia overcome their anxiety during their visit.
Beyond the local community, Dr Clarissa actively volunteered in overseas dental mission trips such as in China, Cambodia and Timor Leste. She is also a member of College of General Dental Practitioners Singapore and Singapore Dental Society.
When she is not in her dental scrubs, she sets aside time to serve in the Singapore Armed Forces Volunteer Corps (SAFVC) as a bridge watchkeeper or you can find her running in park connectors or playing with her two cats Kiddie and Meeko.
