Dr Claudia Chi is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a sub-specialty interest in antenatal care and maternal medicine. With over 20 years of experience, she has extensive experience in handling complex pregnancies, including high risk pregnancies and medical disorders in pregnancy.
Formerly based in the UK, Dr Chi received formal O&G training from esteemed public institutions (Imperial College London and London Deanery) and served at several major acute teaching hospitals and large busy district hospitals. She subsequently came to Singapore in 2013, where she joined the Department of O&G at the National University Hospital (NUH).
At NUH, Dr Chi was a Consultant and Assistant Professor with several leadership roles. She also chaired the obstetrics risk management committee and received several awards for the quality improvement projects she led.
Dr Chi was also in charge of the Obstetrics services for women with Gestational Diabetes (GDM). She has been invited to speak at several local and international medical conferences and seminars and was a reviewer of several peer-reviews international medical journals of obstetrics and gynaecology.
She always has a passion in teaching and has mentored several O&G trainees when she was a core faculty member of O&G residency programme at NUH. She has taught many medical students and was an examiner at the MBBS O&G examination held at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Her philosophy of practice encompasses personalised care that is supported by open and honest communication, respect for women’s autonomy with an emphasis on informed choice, and the prevention and management of risks through optimisation of women’s health.
