First Aid Training in Singapore

by Yuyu. Published on .

Only around 34% of Singaporeans are trained in first aid, according to a study of over 4,000 respondents. That gap matters when someone chokes at a hawker centre or collapses at home.

First aid training in Singapore covers everything from basic CPR to workplace certification. Here are the course types available, where to take them, and what funding you may qualify for.

Why first-aid training matters in Singapore

Trained bystanders respond faster in cardiac arrest, choking, and severe bleeding. See first aid fundamentals for what to learn first.

Which first-aid course fits your role

Basic First Aid (+ CPR/AED)

Covers basic first aid, CPR, and AED use. Suits general public and some CCA groups.

Sports coaches and fitness instructors should take Standard First Aid.

Standard First Aid Course

SRFAC-aligned course for adults: CPR, AED, and common emergencies. Required for National Registry of Coaches (NROC) license renewal.

Occupational First Aid Course

Workplace first aid plus CPR/AED. Required for appointed first aiders under MOM regulations.

Child First Aid Course

First aid for infants and children. Recognized by ECDA for preschool educators.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS+AED)

CPR and choking relief for adults and infants per SRFAC guidelines.
